The Quiz Bee promotes academic excellence by preparing the student and his/her teacher/ professor for competition within the school and district level, then on to the division and the regional level, and then ultimately to the national grand finals.
The Quiz Bee promotes a high sense of personal achievement and brotherhood by encouraging students to compete with one another using only his/her academic prowess with the aid of his teacher-coach.
There are no cash prizes in the Quiz Bee. The usual prizes are a trophy, a set of encyclopedia, a personal computer or scholarship grants. The Quiz Bee Foundation believes that money is not a good motivation for self - achievement for school students especially in their formative years.
But, the honor it brings to the students, mentors and schools who compete are proof positive of the high moral goals these participants aim for, by joining in a competition for the sake of academic excellence, and not for material gain.
The continued success of the Quiz Bee can be attributed to the need of the student, his/her mentor-coach and school. for a forum wherein to compete with the best and the brightest that other schools, districts, divisions and regions have to offer.
The Quiz Bee is a sort -of barometer of the level of education of the Filipino student for more than a quarter of a century.
The Quiz Bee is the longest running, most respected and continuing national academic competition... bar none. No other academic competition winner can come close to the prestige, honor and excellence of a Quiz Bee Champion.
Not for fame or fortune but the honor of being called a Quiz Bee Champion!
